The Prancing Pony Country Farm is dedicated to introducing children to the magic of horses.

Our ranch is nestled in the hills near Ramona, California.   We have horses (and a donkey) and ponies of all colors, sizes and shapes, goats, sheep, chickens and a variety of birds.

The Prancing Pony has become a sanctuary to a variety of animals, many with special needs.  Our wonderful menagerie includes a partially-blind mule and horse, a bunny with a broken back (Timmy who gets along great with his little girlfriend, Tina), a one-eyed guinea pig (Winky), and quite a few one-legged birds.  We have rescued many elderly horses who lost their homes when their owners died or outgrew them.  We have a group of elderly, lame and arthritic horses enjoying retirement on the ranch.  We have accepted many bunnies left with us when their novelty wore off.  The animals at the Prancing Pony do not live in cages or stalls.  They are confined at night for their safety but all are turned out during the day to enjoy the fresh air, social interaction and exercise. 
 
The Prancing Pony neither seeks nor accepts donations.  When you have your parties or lessons at the ranch, you are contributing to the care of our wonderful animals and we are grateful for your business.
